What We Do

At Post & Lintel, we get you back in touch with your home.

Like many people these days, you’ve moved around in your life and considered a few places home over the years.

There’s one in particular, however, that stands out. You were born there, or you grew up there, or perhaps you used to spend your summers there in your teens, or maybe you left it behind just recently. Although you’ve since moved on, there’s a warm, nostalgic spot in your heart for that place you used to call “home” – it has stayed with you, and your thoughts often take you back to that old familiar place…

You have a powerful emotional connection, but the physical contact with that home is gone. All you have left are lots of warm memories and some old photos.

At Post & Lintel by Krzysztof Debicki, we create a bespoke architectural portrait for you – this is a custom-made painting of your home, whether for you that means a building, a street, a neighbourhood, or a city, whether from 5 years ago or 25 years go.

Using memories, photos, interviews, and location visits, we work together with you to create a portrait of your home that will stay with you forever.

Like bespoke clothing, the architectural portrait is tailor-made to fit you perfectly.

How It Works

Step 1 – Introduction
Get in touch with me. Tell me about the home you have in mind: what kind of portrait are you thinking of having painted? Will it be a portrait of a building, a street, or a whole city? Where do you plan to hang the painting? What size? What style?

Pricing

Prices are based on the size, material, medium, and complexity of the work. Each commission is a bespoke architectural portrait.

The artwork produced is custom-made and one-of-a-kind.

As a benchmark, commissioning a portrait like the one in the image to the left (160 x 200cm, acrylic, graphite, and ink on 100% linen canvas) costs around 2300 EUR whereas a portrait like the one on the right (60 x 80cm, gouache, Japanese brush pen, ink wash, and graphite on archival, acid-free paper) will cost around 700 EUR.

A portrait takes 1-3 months to complete.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or if you would like a detailed estimate on an architectural portrait you're considering.
